I started woodworking as a therapeutic outlet, helping me to reconcile pieces of my past. During this time, I found myself enraptured by the potential beauty of simple cuts of wood. I found myself hunting for the decayed, spalted, or "worthless" cuts that I could re-work into something that could be treasured again.

My passion was first sparked by a decayed piece of spalted red oak, pulled from a trash pile. Then I explored some pecan planks so damaged that they needed to be resined together before being able to plane them, and at the same time, recovered and recreated a beautiful entry way bench from a six and a half foot 16/4 cedar slab with years of termite damage and rot. I am now officially hooked.

The more time I spend around wood, the more my creative interests have grown. My portfolio is always expanding due to custom requests, and now includes a collection of artistically designed furniture and kitchen design pieces. Everything from traditional kitchen farm-house style tables to custom root ball resin topped coffee tables. These pieces can be seen in the "Our Work" section.

My ever-growing wood collection of live edge cedar, cherry, white-oak, red-oak, hickory, pecan, maple, and walnut pieces provide me an endless stream of inspiration.
